28 October 2020
Every company, once, has already been confronted with the lack of inspiration about the enhancement model for a product or a service. New technologies are the solution to resolve these companies’ need: to be more and more creative when designing their products/services ads and staying competitive at the same time.
That is why, at Light & Shadows, we seek to offer you the best suited 3D technology to your needs. The technology we are going to talk about here is the one in evolution nowadays: holograms.
First, what is a hologram?
A hologram represents a 3D image appearing as “suspended in the air”. This image is the fruit of a holographic process that is a relief photography.
If Stars Wars fans are reading this article, you all know this technology because it was used in the movies. But today, this technology development allows it to be integrated in numerous sectors, and not only in the entertainment one.
We could observe during the last few years and even today that holograms take their place because of our will to live again moments of the past like the Maria Callas concert: settled 40 years after her death, and yet she seems more than alive. The hologram effects combined to real movement of an actress and audio records remastered are quite impressive.
The music sector is not the only one that used holograms and to still used it, circus did it too. A lot of European circuses are no longer using reals animals in their show but holograms of them to keep this part of the show thanks to the 3D technology.
So, holograms are already used in the entertainment sector but what about the industrial and professional sectors?
Regarding the current events, a lot of companies try to encourage to work from home when it is possible. It is not the case for all industries, because some factories still need to produce and working from home is not possible. But when it is the case, meetings can take place, even with the distance, and it is here that holograms appear.
A hologram would allow one of the contacts who work from home to appeared at another’s home in order to make a half virtual, half real meeting. That is what customers like, seeing the person they are re talking to, even at distance.
By its wahou effect, the hologram is a solution generating attention because it makes it possible to reproduce what one could see years ago in science fiction films like we said before – Stars wars for example.

But holograms also offer the possibility to represent objects and that is why it is a solution to highlight a product / a service at a trade fair or another event.
If you are looking for the wahou and futuristic effect of holograms, it is the best solution to highlight your product.
Moreover, English researchers would have found the solution to made holograms touchable, so what are we waiting for?
You can find all the information about 3D technologies in our white paper on the integration of these technologies in the marketing process.

What is the OnDemand solution?
More and more clients wanted to have a preview of the product they are buying before “truly” having and seeing it. This trend can explain the appearance of more and more configurators on automotive or glasses companies’ websites for example, that allows users to configurate their vehicle or glasses via their screen or webcam.
But what is « On Demand » offer?
